Did Father Gherasim Iscu die? In the last hour of his existence here, he told the one who cared for him:
– Tonight I will pass over. Please wash my face a little and, if you can, cut my nails. I don’t want to leave an unkempt body here.
Then, staring intently at a point in space with his eyes wide open, he said bluntly:
– Do you hear? The angels are singing!
And he stayed like that, with his hands on his chest like a cross and his eyes open to the other side, where he had also passed, gently, like a breeze.
