Flueraș, a simple man of good faith
In Gherla, the news spread that the students had been ‘restructured’ and that everyone was running away from them. But the re-education took its course. Workers began to be tortured. One of those murdered under terrible tortures was the founder of socialism in Romania, Flueraș, an old and good man who strongly denounced the communist monstrosity. Many socialists have been in prison and many have died there, but the most tragic fate was that of this Flueraș, a simple man of no faith who only understood Marxism through re-education. He died a victim of an ideology that he had understood in part, but which he affirmed in its entirety.
