Lavinia: “Saints of the prisons are the soul of this country!”
The Saints of the communist prisons are the soul of this country. Our beloved saints have carried with them all the pain and all the love that only souls wounded by love for Christ can have. Beyond our ability to comprehend their earthly lives and the soul-crushing pain of what they experienced, they now pray for us. And it is a great pity that we do not have them in the Synods of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
The prison saints are a model to follow, our children should learn about them in history and especially in their religion books. Their hearts belonged to the Lord Christ and to the country, so we have a prayer host and maybe we will wake up and maybe we will change our way of being and the power of their spirit will change this country.
They have changed me and I pray to the Lord Christ and His Blessed Mother to bring the strong faith into the heart of my family.
They teach us that we must choose love and forgiveness, there is no other way, and they also teach us that the word of God must be spoken without fear or shame.
Let us have strong hope for their prayers.
