I remembered Timaru from Brașov, who said he never shot anyone while he was at the front. He only frightened them to death by throwing a can of vodka or a pair of binoculars at those who shouted jokes and urged them to surrender! Here you could not spare your conscience by not participating in the torture of your suffering brothers. Mr. Timaru spared his enemies because he considered them human beings. Here we are forced to torture one on each other, brothers on brothers!
