Nicolae Purcărea – a kind-hearted boy, always ready to do good to those around him

On 29 May 1956, when I was due to be released, I packed my bags and waited to be taken out of my room. I had said goodbye to the people I was leaving. In fact, after the opening, the head of the section came and took me out of the room and led me to a room near the gate, where I found Nicolae Purcărea, with whom I had previously stayed in the same room. He was a student at the Commercial Academy in Brașov, a quiet and very serious boy, good-hearted, always ready to do good to those around him, sharing everyone’s problems. I was very happy to have had the good fortune to be liberated with him.
