This lover of Christ was born on 22 July 1921 in the village of Berivoii Mari, in the region of Făgăraș, today Brașov County, and was baptised Victoria. Her parents’ names were Nicolae and Ana. Her father, Nicolae, was a devout Orthodox Christian and, like most of the people from Ardel, a sympathizer of the National Peasant Party led by Iuliu Maniu. He died in 1948.
