The case of Father Dobre Rizea, who died immediately after the revolution in Brăila
Departed from Rușețu Parish, Buzău County to Brăila, there he carried out a real mission against the Jehovists, uncovering their blunders in many sermons. He became a fine connoisseur of these revanchist sects, which he fought successfully, bringing many to the path of faith and strengthening the congregation against the sectarian wolf.
During his sermons, even sectarian Jehovists would come and listen to him attentively, to try to oppose him, but without success. Seeing that they could not defeat him scripturally, they thought of something, namely, they telephoned him one day, telling him that in a block on the 10th floor, an old lady was urgently asking to receive the sacraments. Father didn’t think twice, took his communion kit and left.
There, however, a dire situation awaited him. He was caught, tied up, stabbed and then thrown from the 10th floor balcony. The case remained under the scrutiny of officials who stayed away from the press. But it was the Jehovists who called him, because the whole ecclesial community had heard about it, including the Buzău priestly conference at the time, which clearly stated that it was the Jehovists. (it was discovered from police investigations probably)
Unfortunately, those who know of the case of the martyred Father are either shying away from saying or have left it alone.
Here’s a martyred priest… we should gather details about these martyred priests of ours….
My father knew him and knew what kind of man he was. He had a power of speech in his preaching that even the Communists feared, and in his preaching he particularly attacked the Jehovists, whom he exposed in detail.
Keep him in the ranks of the martyrs, brothers, for he gave his life for the Orthodox Truth.
GOD FORGIVE THE MARTYR FATHERS!
God forgive us too for taking good men to Him.
